Privacy policy

How we collect, use, and protect personal information. Last updated October 2026.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to Redd House LLC and to this website. It covers information we collect from website visitors, from people who contact us about the residence, and from applicants and residents.

Information we collect

This website has no message form, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cookies of our own. If you contact us, you do it by email, and what we hold is what you chose to tell us in that message.

Applicants and residents provide more, because a residency requires it: contact details, emergency contacts, information about recovery and treatment that a resident chooses to share, and the records of a residency agreement and its fees.

Our web host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, as part of serving and securing the site.

Recovery is private, and we treat it that way

Information about a person's substance use, recovery, or treatment is among the most sensitive information there is. We collect only what we need to decide whether the residence is a fit and to run it safely, we share it only as described below, and we never confirm to a caller or visitor whether a particular person lives at the residence.

Email is not a secure channel. Please leave detailed medical, legal, or treatment history out of a first message; we will talk through what matters directly.

How we use it

  • To answer your inquiry about the residence
  • To assess whether the residence is a fit, against our written criteria
  • To administer a residency agreement, its fees, and the house expectations
  • To meet our accreditation, legal, and record-keeping obligations
  • To protect the safety of the residents and the home

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

Only where it is necessary or required: with a treatment provider, case manager, or other person a resident has authorized us to speak with; with our accrediting body and state regulators where accreditation or certification requires it; with our accountants and attorneys; and where the law compels disclosure or someone's safety is at immediate risk.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that never become applications are deleted once they are plainly stale. Applicant and resident records are kept for the period our accreditation and the law require, and then securely disposed of.

Your choices

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep. Email us at the address below. We will verify who you are before acting, because releasing a record to the wrong person is its own harm.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The residence serves adults only.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in.
